Since November 2025, I have been a Marketing and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Scarborough Junction Community.
I am responsible for developing the SJC's strategy to grow engagement and awareness about the West Scarborough Rail Trail by managing social media campaigns and planning public-facing materials for the promotion of the proposed project and upcoming community engagement events. With a grant recently awarded to us by the City of Toronto, I am managing a marketing budget to increase the reach and impact of our educational content and events for May and June 2026.

I also support the coordination of community meetings and events, including pop-up public art installations, to encourage community engagement, build strong relationships, and encourage involvement in the WSRT project. Paired with this, I designed a survey to serve as an opportunity for community members to share their thoughts and opinions about the proposed WSRT and SJC's events. Responses from this survey will be analyzed to gather relevant information about how we should proceed with our efforts.
Lastly, I am leading the planning of other public-art installation events for summer 2026 to further our mission and develop relationships with community members.
Oftentimes, collaboration with elected officials and their offices is essential to supporting project awareness, strengthening community partnerships, and advance engagement efforts.
